About Me

Dr. Caitlin Black Penguin Research

to my cozy corner of the Internet!

I’m Dr. Caitlin Black- a wildlife biologist, minimalist, and long-time expat, currently living in Cambridge, England.

I am lucky to have found a job that allows me to explore remote islands in the Antarctic, swamps in the Southern USA, and the African savanna in search of answers to why animals behave so mysteriously.

Along the way, I have had the opportunity to live on several continents, learn several languages, and make more-than-several travel mistakes (TMW you realize you are on Krk Island- not Krka park).

I am not one to count countries (and still haven’t) but instead try to collect experiences, which I have listed in a notebook next to my binoculars and head torch for years.

I hope you enjoy nosying through these lists and are inspired to step outside of your own comfort zone and knock a few off your own bucket list.

Cheers!

Caitlin
